This March, I had the honor of photographing one of the most meaningful events of the year: Eckerd College’s 50th Anniversary Reunion Weekend, held in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida. As a professional photographer with a passion for documenting connection and authenticity, few things are more fulfilling than preserving moments like these—where decades of stories, impact, and legacy come together.
A Spotlight on the Center for Inclusive Excellence
My primary focus was capturing the vibrant gathering at the Center for Inclusive Excellence, a space that has become a cornerstone for community, belonging, and shared progress at Eckerd College. The energy in the room was electric. Alumni from across generations shared powerful conversations, embraced mentors and old friends, and honored the transformative role this center has played in shaping their Eckerd experience.
From candid hugs and laughter to thoughtful reflections, my goal was to document the deep-rooted sense of pride and purpose that filled the space. These were more than just reunion photos—they were a visual narrative of inclusion, identity, and growth.
Across the Decades: Capturing Alumni Around St. Pete
In addition to the gathering at the Center, I photographed smaller meetups by graduation decade throughout downtown St. Petersburg—especially along Beach Drive, where alumni reconnected over local cuisine, drinks, and views of Tampa Bay.
The Class of 1975, celebrating their 50th reunion, was officially inducted into the Golden Triton Society. It was a joy to witness and photograph their milestone moments—many of them taking place at familiar local favorites near the waterfront.
